'The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Ragnaie V.V. presents a distinctly wild, savory profile typical of this high-altitude site near the center of town. Sage, mint, smoke, rosemary and sweet red cherries gradually open up in the glass. The 2010 is going to need a few years to fully come together, as it is a bit compact. So much dried citrus and smoke on the nose with sliced meat and plums. It's full body, with dense and intense palate with amazing fruit and intensity yet held back. Powerful and in reserve yet so balanced and harmonious. An old vine wine with all in the future. Made from biodynamically grown grapes. Better in 2018...100 JS 12/14
