92 points, Monica Larner, Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate: "Il Palazzone's 2015 Brunello di Montalcino shows a steady bouquet that is equally represented by dried fruit aromas, medicinal herb and crushed stone or dark mineral. The wine imparts a lean to medium-weight texture, and there is a point of bitterness that recalls sour cherry or crispy plum. That sourness is for now reinforced by the wine's young tannins, and that general rawness should subside as it continues its evolution in the bottle. Some 10,866 bottles were filled (not counting 250 magnums), and the wine was released in January 2020." 01/20

It opens to precise aromatics with notes of red flowers, wild strawberries, currants and sweet licorice that all take shape in the glass. On the palate this is medium-to full-bodied, structured with soft, nicely extracted tannins and a finish which is focused on the quality of fruits. While this offers immediate pleasure, it also has the potential to evolve for over a decade." 03/20
