The wine is polished and glossy with lively aromas of wild cherry, forest floor, licorice and pressed violets or lavender. You might also pick up faint tones of potting soil and savory spice, but it all comes in careful moderation. This wine ages in 20-hectoliter oak casks for 30 months. Tassi's Brunello maintains a medium-weight mouthfeel, however the natural freshness and integrated tannins give the wine a much larger footprint on all the senses."

Sweet and subtle, with wonderful perfumed inner-mouth intensity of flavors similar to the aromas. Here the tannins are much finer than those of the 2015 Brunello Tassi. The higher acidity provides better finishing lift and length. This outstanding wine is made from a selection of the best grapes grown in some of the highest vineyards the estate owns.” 03/20
