Vinous Media

92 Points, Eric Guido, Vinous: "There’s an inviting mentholated freshness to the bouquet of the 2016 Brunello di Montalcino that draws you in. Bright cherry, strawberry and cedar spice box can be found with further exploration. It’s silky with a refined feel to its polished red fruits, leaning more toward the savory side and gaining tactile grip through a mix of minerals and subtle tannins. Notes of spiced orange, savory herbs and inner florals build, as this finishes lightly structured and wonderfully fresh for a young Brunello. This may not be a wine for the ages, but it will provide plenty of pleasure while waiting for the more brooding Poggio al Carro to mature." 11/20

James Suckling

95 Points, James Suckling: " This is very toned and polished with a beautiful tension and focus. It’s full-bodied with a tight palate and an intense, focused finish. Berries, black cherries, and walnuts. Closed and tight now, but has wonderful potential. Try after 2024."

International Wine Reviews

94 Points, Raffaele Vecchione, International Wine Review: "Precise and extremely pure, it shows a dark profile reminiscent of notes of black plums, blackberries, wet asphalt, and </br>carnation. Intense and vibrant, it shows character and remarkable beauty right away. Full body, sweet tannins well blended in matrix and a voluminous finish. Better from 2022."
