Wine Advocate

97 points, Monica Larner, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “Showing inky dark concentration, the flagship Tenuta di Biserno 2019 Biserno is a rich, beautiful and brooding wine. There is so much life and intensity in this vintage that is packed tight with black fruit, spice, tar and sweet tobacco. The aromas are presented with seamless transitions, and the finish is exceptionally long. This wine shows ripeness, but it also offers elegance, and that’s not an easy overlap to make. This wine should hold past the 20-year mark.” 07/22

James Suckling

98 Points, James Suckling, "Sophisticated aromas of blackcurrants and blueberries with fresh herbs, such as fresh sage and rosemary. Graceful and complex. Full-bodied with very fine, driven tannins that are sleek and polished. The palate goes on for minutes. 32% cabernet franc, 32% cabernet sauvignon, 30% merlot and 6% petit verdot. Already beautiful, but in two or four years it will be poetry. Drink or hold." 12/22

Notes from the Winery: "Biserno is our flagship wine, our namesake and the symbol of the estate. A classic Bordeaux blend, the grapes come from our very best vineyards and are perfectly suited to creating the Biserno style. The resulting wine is remarkable, with a combination of qualities rarely found in a wine: finesse, elegance, complexity, voluptuousness, intensity, length and freshness. Produced in equal parts from Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, with a small amount of Petit Verdot."
