96-98 Points, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Belair Monange comes sashaying out of the glass with a graceful hair-toss of fragrant red roses, cinnamon stick, cardamom and cumin seed notes over a core of Morello cherries, dark chocolate, wild blueberries and blackberry pie plus a touch of pencil shavings. The medium to full-bodied palate is just scrumptious, offering layers of perfumed black fruits and bright floral sparks, framed by exquisitely ripe, satiny tannins and an invigorating line of freshness, finishing on a lingering aniseed note." 6/20
99 Points, James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com: "Wonderful aromas of fresh flowers, blackberries and cherries. Licorice and lilacs, too. Full-bodied, yet so tight and refined, translucent and weightless. Incredible purity and excellence. This is the heart and soul of the property in a glass. Really pinpointed at the end. Enchanting and thought-provoking. Needs time to open and soften. Try after 2028." 01/22

99 Points, Georgina Hindle, Decanter: "One of the standouts in 2019. Red fruit aromatics are so clear on the nose, strawberries and sweet red cherries with some bramble floral notes - delicate and liffed. Gorgeous expression on the palate, so finely framed with tannins that are smooth and supple, effortlessly coating the mouth and giving life to the bright cherry and raspberry fruit. This has grace - slender and smooth - the flavours just glide across the palate, filling out the mouth with lashings of limestone terroir markers - crystalline fruit purity, crushed stones, mint and minerality. Clearly concentrated, there's layers of flavour but there's also such persistence, the flavours go on and on. Wonderful lift and so charming. I absolutely love it. Drinking window: 2030-2050" 03/22

96-98 Points, Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 Belair-Monange is beautiful and reminds me slightly of the 2016 with its fresh yet concentrated style. Offering lots of black fruits, scorched earth, truffle, lead pencil, and a liquid rock-like minerality, this full-bodied beauty has a solid spine of acidity, beautiful balance, and enough building tannins to warrant a solid 5-7 years of bottle age." 6/20
