Wine Advocate
93 Points, Erin Brooks, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From vines planted in 1988 in the original Beaux Frères vineyard, the 2016 Pinot Noir The Beaux Frères Vineyard is pale to medium ruby-purple in color with a nose of fresh, crisp red and black cherries and cranberries with warm earth, dried black tea leaves and potpourri perfume plus notes of crushed rock. Light to medium-bodied, the palate has a wonderful concentration of juicy, ripe black berries and cherries in the mouth, with spicy accents of nutmeg, potpourri and dried autumn leaves, a wonderful frame of fine-grained tannins and juicy acidity carrying the very long, spicy finish. 2,700 cases produced." 8/18
Vinous Media
95 Points, Josh Raynolds, Vinous: "Brilliant magenta. Mineral-accented red berries, incense and candied flowers on the expansive, seductively perfumed nose, with a spicy accent adding vivacity. Sappy, alluringly sweet and sharply delineated on the palate, offering juicy cherry, raspberry preserve and lavender pastille flavors that are sharpened by a zesty Asian spice nuance. Fine-grained and seamless in texture, finishing extremely long and precise, with resonating spiciness and smooth, well-knit tannins." 6/19
Wine Spectator
95 Points, Tim Fish, Wine Spectator: "Remarkably and seamlessly complex, with a polished and refined core wrapped in silky raspberry and blueberry flavors, accented by savory spice and orange zest hints. The long finish builds toward polished tannins. Drink now through 2025. 2,686 cases made." 8/18
