Beaune Clos des Ursules Domaine des Heritiers Louis Jadot 2017 (1.5L)
91-93 Points, William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Ursules (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) is the high point of Jadot's Beaune portfolio, offering up an incipiently complex bouquet of raspberries, plums, candied peel, licorice, grilled meats and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with an ample core of fruit that's structured around a youthfully firm chassis of chalky tannin, concluding with a long finish. This should age very gracefully."
90-92 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2017 Beaune Clos des Ursules 1er Cru, one of my favorite vineyards from Jadot, has a lovely red and black fruit nose that feels harmonious and assured. The class of the terroir shows through here. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy ripe red fruit and fine grip. A little sinewy, like the Les Cras, but showing fine precision and persistence on the finish. Excellent." 01/19
95 Points, James Suckling, www.jamessuckling.com: "Very beautiful aromas of strawberries, flowers and stones. Medium to full body, firm and chewy tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Shows lovely, linear brightness and texture. Drink in 2023." 02/19
90-92 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "Notes of wood toast, menthol, earth and red berry fruit liqueur combine with a pretty floral hint. There is fine intensity to the utterly delicious medium-bodied flavors that possess a lovely sense of underlying tension before terminating in a clean, focused and lingering if austere and serious finish that, like the Aux Cras, is clearly built-to-age." 04/19
