92-94 Points, Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a reserved nose at first, but it opens gloriously with wet limestone and marine scents. This is very intense. The palate is very concentrated with a taut line of acidity cutting through the light honeyed notes, touches of lemongrass and ginger enlivening the finish. I prefer this to the Corton-Charlemagne '13 this year."12/14

91-93 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous: " Bright medium yellow. Very ripe stone fruit flavors show a slightly exotic tropical quality. Plush, ripe and sweet, with a distinct thickness to its apple flavor. The long, slowly mounting finish displays terrific soil salinity and power. This wine will likely gain in freshness and definition as it finishes fermenting its sugar." 9/16

91-94 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "An exceptionally primary nose only reluctantly offers up its ripe but attractively fresh aromas of various white orchard fruit, floral, spice and discreet citrus nuances. There is outstanding volume to the imposingly-scaled flavors that display first-rate richness while managing to avoid undue heaviness on the powerful, dense and hugely long finish where once again a touch of bitter lemon appears. This will need to add depth to merit the top end of my projected range though the underlying material appears to be present such that it could do just that." 6/17
