Neil Martin

92 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2018 Auxey-Duresses Village has more refinement and purity than the Meursault Rouge, offering gorgeous aromas of red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit with veins of blueberry. The palate is very powerful with huge grip for an Auxey-Duresses that will guarantee its longevity. Quite a masculine red in some ways but totally compelling. One of those wines to grab if you find it for a decent price on a restaurant list, and for me personally, preferable to the aforementioned Meursault." 10/20

Allen Meadows, Burghound: " An unusually fresh nose in the context of what is typical for the 2018 vintage consists of a wide array of red berry fruit aromas that are liberally laced with earth and discreet floral wisps. Consistent with the freshness of the nose there is very good verve suffusing the well-detailed and lightly stony middle weight flavors that exhibit only a trace of rusticity on the focused, balanced and persistent finish. Once again, this boxes well above its qualitative weight." 04/20 Issue #78
