Wine Advocate

93 Points, Erin Brooks, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Dundee Hills Chardonnay offers wonderful, fresh Bosc pear and yellow apple skin aromas with baby’s breath flowers, fresh toast, crushed rock and hay accents. Medium to full-bodied, it has a slightly creamy texture and wicked juicy acidity, with toasty flavors and earthy accents over concentrated tree fruits, finishing very long and very minerally. 100 cases produced." 08/18

Vinous Media

93 Points, Josh Raynolds, Vinous: "Light, vivid yellow. Intense, mineral-accented aromas of lemon zest, orange, smoky lees, fig and white flowers. Sappy, sharply focused citrus fruit and pear flavors are sharpened by a smoky mineral quality and take on iodine and fennel notes with air. Chewy, focused and gently spicy on the lingering, focused finish, which strongly echoes the pear and floral notes." 05/20

John Gilman

91 Points, John Gilman, Views from the Cellar: "The Dundee Hills bottling of chardonnay is made up of a blend from the family’s home plot of Maresh vineyard and fruit from the Weber Vineyard, which was planted in 1983. The 2016 Dundee Hills chardonnay offers up a bouquet of pear, apple, a nice hint of spice, a bit of almond, good soil signature and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, focused and nicely zesty, with a fine core of fruit, good mineral drive and a long, complex and fairly open finish. This has the acidity to age very well, but it is not quite as reticent out of the blocks as the Maresh Vineyard bottling and is the one of these three I would reach for first for current drinking. Good juice. 2019-2040." 01/19
