Bordeaux in the USA - the Red Wines of Andrew Will
Not "Old." Not "New." With the wines of Andrew Will, you get something better!
Owner/winemaker Chris Camarda is a self-professed Right Bank enthusiast who stresses balance in his wines above all else. Merlot and Cabernet Franc take center stage in these wines, with Cabernet Sauvignon in a supporting role and cameos by Petit Verdot and Malbec. The blends vary, but one fact stays the same: these reds are all extremely well-crafted, balanced and cellar-worthy (but drinking beautifully right now), and they rake in praise and awards from publications every year.
His top releases are sourced from the best vineyard sites throughout Columbia Valley (in Yakima Valley, Horse Heaven Hills, Red Mountain). This lineup is the ideal "Tour of Washington" as each wine does a phenomenal job showcasing the potential of each sub-region.
We can't pigeonhole these wines by calling them "Old World" or "New World." They stand tall on their own as elegant expressions of a unique place in this diverse wine-growing country of ours.
What more do we need to say? Grab some of these wines for yourself and see what you've been missing!
