Pinot Noir "Cellar Selection" Under $25?!
You may not have heard of Balletto Vineyards. They're relatively new to the Sonoma wine scene, having produced their wine for less than 15 years. But they're cut from your classic cloth of Americana...coming from humble beginnings, John Balletto worked hard for decades to become one of the most important farmers on the West Coast. We've tasted the wines, loved them, and in a few short months made them some of our best-selling domestic wines in the store. In short, Zachys is a big fan of Balletto wines!
We've been wondering for months now why their Pinot Noir from Sonoma's Russian River Valley wasn't more popular on the global wine scene. It has all the makings of a fantastic wine, and it is extremely hard to find well-crafted, balanced, subtly flavored Pinot Noir from the USA, nevermind from California.
Sometimes we can't help but gloat. We were right all along about this one!
Available at the phenomenal price of $22.99, this Pinot Noir is drinking beautifully now and will continue to for the rest of the decade. We've secured as we could, but act fast. This is a winery that never compromised on quality (only 10% of their planted vines' grapes actually make it into the bottle). Therefore production is low and the wine is great...and we wouldn't have it any other way!!!
