We know this dinner is last minute, but when we were presented with the opportunity to host Gavin Chanin of the Chanin Wine Company at world-renowned Colicchio & Sons, it took us about 2 seconds to say – YES!
Gavin Chanin of the Chanin Wine Company is one of the hottest winemakers in California today, redefining production of balanced and elegant Chardonnay & Pinot Noir on the Central Coast. Since the release of his first vintage, the Chanin wines have been capturing the attention of the press left and right.
The former UCLA art student turned apprentice to Jim Clendenen of the world famous Au Bon Climat winery has clearly broken-out on his own in a big way. Garnering tremendous praise from Antonio Galloni, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, the Burghound and Wine & Spirits in a very short time. Not to mention being named one of the Forbes Magazine’s "30 Under 30" and Food & Wine Magazine’s "Winemaker of the Year for 2012".
