I Love NY

I Love NY Weekend

Saturday & Sunday, April 13-14 | In-Store

New York wineries, master distillers & owners, merchants & restaurants will be joining us and sharing their best kept secrets. If you're into New York wines OR spirits, we have a great lineup comprised of both this weekend.

Saturday, April 13: 12-4pm

  • The Finger Lakes’ own “Winery of the Year”: Hermann J. Wiemer: One of the few wineries whose name is truly synonymous with New York Wine. Hermann J. Wiemer has been crafting award-winning wine for generations, and was recently praised as one of Wine & Spirits Magazine’s Wineries of the Year of 2012. Their wines are highly expressive of Finger Lakes terroir, and have developed cult followings in wine bars throughout the tri-state area as high-quality local offerings at a fantastic price. Perennially featured in publications such as Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast, in addition to Wine & Spirits magazine, their reputation has only grown with their succession of excellent releases.
  • Tuthilltown Distilleries: New York first distillery since prohibition distilling some of Americas most prized spirits in the Hudson Valley. The handmade spirits, which start at the farm distillery as raw grain and fruit, are made without added flavor or color and are not chill or carbon filtered. New York’s first Bourbon is Hudson baby Bourbon, distilled from 100% New York corn one of the four featured this weekend.
  • Breuckelen Distilling Company: Brooklyn based distillery producing handcrafted gin and whiskies in a high ceiling industrial space on the far west end of Brooklyn’s 19th St. The distillery is ran by long time friends Gino and Brad, they make all their spirits on the premises, from scratch, using organic ingredients sourced from within New York State. They do it all themselves, from milling the grains to corking the bottles, talk about hand crafted.
  • New York Distilling Company: Brooklyn based premiere craft distillery producing 2 retro gins for all my gin lovers out there. Perry's Tot is a wonderful Navy Strength gin that clocks in at a 114 proof & Dorothy Parker is your standard 80 proof delicious in a Gin & Tonic or Gin Daisy.
  • Dobbs & Bishop Fine Cheese of Bronxville: Voted Westchester Magazine's "Best Of Westchester", Dobbs & Bishop combines the best cheeses with the best customer service.
  • Restaurant North of Armonk: Known for its farm driven American fare, educated approach to wine & spirits and unparalleled hospitality.
  • ZIPZ Single Serve Wine Glasses: “Premium Wine Anywhere.” A fun, new, and easy way to enjoy great wine at any event!

Sunday, April 14: 1-3pm

  • A Finger Lakes Legend: The Wines of Dr. Konstantin Frank: Dr. Konstantin Frank is not only a pioneer in East Coast winemaking, but he is also credited with bringing some of the first vinifera vines, such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling, to the United States. Home to some of the nation’s oldest vineyards, their 50th anniversary of 2012 was yet another banner vintage. This multi-generational winery has a litany of new releases to showcase at Zachys!
  • Greenhook Ginsmith: Located in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, this small artisan distillery is the producer of 2 amazing gins. Their custom made copper alembic still has been specially engineered to work under a Mercury Vacuum, which reduces the atmospheric pressure in the still and allows the spirit to be distilled at a lower temperature, producing a cleaner, more aromatic distillate.
  • Harvest Spirits Farm Distillery: A micro distillery located on the grounds of Golden Harvest Farms in the Hudson Valley that churns out small batches of local brandy and vodka. When we talk about uniquely American drinks, bourbon gets most of the love, but if you really want to drink like a pioneer, you should be sipping applejack.
  • Meritage Restaurant of Scarsdale: ensures quality by using seasonal, local products. Meritage makes every effort to serve meats from farms practicing responsible animal husbandry, so that we can provide you with organic, free-range, local products to ensure freshness.
  • Dobbs & Bishop Fine Cheese of Bronxville: Voted Westchester Magazine's "Best Of Westchester", Dobbs & Bishop combines the best cheeses with the best customer service.
