I just can’t get enough of Washington State Cabernet.
In the days where quality Cabernet and red blends from California can cost $50 or more, it’s reassuring to know there are great wines out there selling for a THIRD of the price. It just so happens we have one right here in Chaz Point’s Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2010. It was recently tasted at Zachys by noted reviewer James Suckling as part of his "Wine Challenge" series, and needless to say, we’re excited about the result:
This is a classic Washington State Cabernet, teeming with fruit but showcasing the more elegant, mineral, and spice-driven side of Cabernet – this is no overly-oaky fruit-bomb! Beautifully balanced tannins and acidity make this the ideal pick for your own personal "house red."
