My desk is situated right near our office entrance, so I've been hearing plenty of "It's cold out!" and "That wind is brutal!" all day long. It really is the type of weather that makes you want to warm up by the fire with a big red wine...and we happen to have just the one for you.
We just got back from our annual buying trip to Umbria, so we’re putting the spotlight on a local favorite and perennial winner, tasted blind by James Suckling in his most recent installment of "Wine Challenge – Zachys:"

Once upon a wine this "Super-Umbrian" blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc would cost anywhere from $50 to $90 per bottle. But at Zachys, we've made this wine available for just a fraction of the price: $25 per bottle. This wine is hitting its stride and will continue to drink beautifully through 2020 and well past it. With a history of excellent releases and great press over the last decade, we can't think of a better wine, especially at that price, to help beat the cold during these last few weeks of winter!
