The Highest Rated Wine Of The Vintage Is Out!!!
When we attended the Benvenuto Brunello tasting in New York a week and half ago we made sure to stop at the CAPANNA table as his wines have been STELLAR in the last few vintages. Upon tasting his 2007 Brunello Riserva we all looked at eachother and said, "Oooooooooh that one is GOOD!"
What gets me extra excited about this Riserva is that it is a very reasonably priced wine in this category (Considering Riserva's run from $75 - $150/Bottle). The Zachys tasting team's impressions were validated on Friday when The Wine Enthusiast Posted its top 2007 Riservas and sitting smack dab on top of the heap was...
At ONLY $70/Bottle and a 98 point review you shouldn't be buying bottles of this wine...you should be buying cases!!!! The actual tasting notes for this wine will be published on April 1st, but I can tell you from my tasting notes that what we have coming later this Spring will be long gone before then. Lock in on this pre-arrival while you can.
An exciting way to start the day for an Italian wine lover like myself!
All my best,
