This BIG BOY Tuscan Can Do No Wrong!
James Suckling has released some new reviews on many new-release wines from Tuscany. Certainly no surprise to me, was that the head of the list was a Super-Tuscan that seems to be able to do no wrong: 2010 Oreno Sette Ponti.
Consistency does not seem to be an issue with this estate and with many comparable BIG BOY Super-Tuscans selling for well north of $100/Bottle this track record represents an undeniable GREAT BUY in this category:
"Love the aromas to this red with currants, blackberries and hints of dark truffles. Full-bodied, with beautifully crafted tannins that are creamy and seamless. Fabulous refinement and length. Leave it in your cellar for at least four or five years. But impressive to taste or drink now. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. One of best Orenos ever made since its inception in 1999."
Now in stock and ready to ship for the holidays, our only question is "Why wait?"
All my best,
