Hot off the Press – Aldo Conterno Barolo Keeps Rolling
The great press simply does not end for "The King of Barolo."
2008 has been highly praised as a beautiful vintage for Poderi Aldo Conterno, considered by critics to be one of its greatest in decades. “The 2008s are super-classic wines that will thrill Barolo lovers,” raves Antonio Galloni of The Wine Advocate. James Suckling also could not say enough about these wines. Now The Wine Spectator has released their reviews of the 2008 Aldo Conterno Barolos in their December 5th edition of the WS Insider, and it further confirms what we already knew: these wines are incredible. The Baroli from their 3 top vineyards are all "Hot Wines", a short list of high-quality, low-production gems only published in the Wine Spectator Insider. Aldo Conterno placed #1, #2, and #3 on this list!
We would be remiss if we did not mention their entry-level 2008 Barolo, which received better press than many of the other wineries' best releases:
Press like this continues to prove that the "King of Barolo" reigns supreme!
