$20 Napa Cabernet 90pts Robert Parker - California Best Values
How did I miss this?!
I'm known in the shop here for being a bit of an eagle eye when it comes to quickly scanning the new issues of Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate when they are released. Well I missed one this past Friday when the Wine Advocate came out. Granted it was a bit hard to focus on Friday considering the situation that was facing most of the NY Metro area.
So here it is. The Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that was personally reviewed by Robert Parker and included in the California Values section.
The Oberon 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from Michael Mondavi and his family.
Michael Mondavi is someone that knows Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The son of the late great Robert Mondavi, Michael co-founded the Robert Mondavi Winery with his father. Today, Michael along with his son, daughter and wife are producing wines across California with a strong emphasis on Napa Valley with Oberon. The goal with Oberon is to make very good Napa Valley wines that are true to the valley, approachable and delicious young and affordable.
Clearly the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is living up to this mantra with the above stellar review from Robert Parker of the Wine Advocate.
The wine is arriving to our warehouse in the middle of next week but we strong urge you to reserve your bottles or cases today before more people realized they missed this little gem of a wine too.
