Parker: The "bargain of the year" in My Tastings
“This may be the 'bargain of the year' in my tastings.”
Robert Parker the Wine Advocate 8/12.
Is there much more to say?!
A 2011 Ribera del Duero that Robert Parker personally thinks may be the “bargain of the year” of all his tastings of 2012!!!
That in itself is a pretty powerful statement, but then again, that is the beauty of Spain. There is so much great wine at great prices to be had. This year the flood of great wine into the market from Ribera del Duero, Rioja, and elsewhere in Spain, has been huge. With so many wines retailing under $15 and scoring anywhere from 90 to 94 points, we have plenty of great options to choose from.
Including this beauty of a wine that clearly struck Robert Parker as one of the finest values of the year!!!
Our first allotment of this wine is to arrive right at the beginning of November, but that will only be a small amount, with the balance not arriving until the end of January 2013. So for all you wanting this wine for the Holidays, you need to act now and reserve your case(s) today.
PS: The suggested retail is $13 but at Zachys this gem is only $11.95!
