NYT Best $20 Bottle Picks (We have them for less!)
In today’s New York Times, wine critic Eric Asimov highlights 20 of his favorite wines that retail for $20 per bottle.
Reviewing Eric’s list, we really can’t disagree with him that the 20 wines he noted are not note-worthy wines for the price. They are all consistently good stand-out wines. We just can’t stock them all.
From Eric’s list we do have availability on two exceptional wines!
The La Rioja Alta Vina Alberdi 2005 and the Gunderloch Jean Baptiste Kabinett Riesling!
These are two classics that consistently are among some of the best values produced. The Quality to Price Ratio here is always very high!
La Rioja Alta is hands down one of the best value producing Rioja estates and not only has the Alberdi 2005 received an excellent mention in today’s New York Times, but the wine has also received an excellent 90 point review from the International Wine Cellar.
Gunderloch has long been one of the great estates of Germany and their wines have become staples across the world for Riesling lovers. The Kabinett Jean Baptiste is one of their most consistent wines and truly a benchmark for entry level Kabinett.
Both wines are true standouts and we are extremely happy for both estates to see their wines highlighted in such a complimentary way, especially for these great value examples that are the core of what each estate produces.
Plus, we know Eric said they cost $20 per bottle, but at Zachys you can pick up a bottle of each wine for under $20 each (and New Yorkers, even with the tax, a bottle is still under $20!)
These are some great wines to load up on and with FREE GROUND SHIPPING available, stocking up on these wines was never a better idea!
