"Midas Touch": Sbragia Family Vineyard Dry Creek Chardonnay
Seemingly blessed with the Midas Touch, Ed Sbragia has been named to Wine Spectator's July 2012 issue list of Top 30 Producers "Setting the Gold Standard for Quality" in California. Sbragia, however, is not a new player in the Chardonnay game.
In 2008, Sbragia left his 3-decade helm at Beringer Vineyards, where he famously cultivated the California benchmark Beringer Private Reserve Estate Chardonnay. Since his departure, Sbragia has been producing terroir driven wines that offer both value and consistency at his family vineyard.
Year-in and year-out, Sbragia Family Vineyard wines are among the top scoring and top deals in Sonoma, consistently receiving rave reviews from Robert Parker and Wine Spectator. The 2009 vintage is no exception, garnering 91pts from Wine Spectator and 92pts from Wine Advocate.
Strike gold with this offer and grab the Sbragia Family Vineyards Dry Creek Chardonnay at this steal of a price:
"Rich and creamy, yet light and delicate on its feet, with pear, fig, citrus and honeysuckle notes that gain depth, ending with a light toasty oak aftertaste…91" WS 06/11.
