Finding the "Trophy wines”" from Tuscany is never that tough these days as vineyard practices and winemaking techniques have grown by leaps and bounds over the last decade.
What IS difficult is finding the remaining gems out there that over deliver in quality while still maintaining a very reasonable price tag.
I was thrilled to see that in last week's new-release Wine Advocate (Issue #201) just one of those GEMS was pointed out:
It's in its window of drinkability (2012 – 2017), it's reasonably priced (Only $23/Bottle) and comes from great pedigree...C'mon, how can you go wrong here?!
This is a wine that SCREAMS burgers and steaks. I see a lot of people loading up already, take part in the Baby Ornellaia Boom.
I hope you all had a fun, relaxing and enjoyable 4th of July holiday.
All my best,
