Burgundy Masters-The Values! Part 1
While combing through the inventory today I could not help but notice that we still have some exceptional “values” in-stock from some of the Masters.
So here are four wines to kick-off the Burgundy Masters-The Values Series. I will be putting together three to four offers focusing on four wines that represent “values” from some of the most touted and sought after producers of Burgundy. First up, a series of wines from three very collectible names of Burgundy.
Lafarge, Meo-Camuzet and Denis Bachelet!
Domaine Lafarge is clearly one of the reigning Kings of Volnay but their Passetoutgrain Exception and Cotes de Beaune Villages are two of my personal favorites that I stash away for myself each year. The Cotes du Nuits Villages from Bachelet is simply a knock-out in 2009. This powerhouse of a CdNV drinks better than many people’s village Gevrey Chambertin. Lastly the Meo-Camuzet Marsannay is a gorgeous wine in 2009. The villages north of Gevrey Chambertin really did exceptionally well in 2009 and this Marsannay is the perfect example of how well the wines are.
Alas, quantities are limited even on these beauties but act fast and load up on some great drinking Burgundy!
