Pre-Arrivals – (sometimes referred to as wine futures) -- are wines that have been offered to us by the wineries or our suppliers in advance of their arrival to the marketplace. Pre-arrivals can be coming in to the store in as short a period as a few weeks and as long of a period as a few years (i.e. Bordeaux Futures). Many pre-arrivals are “First releases” but in some cases they can be wines that we have managed to re-secure in the secondary market. Most often they are premium wines that are in very high demand and available in limited quantities or being offered out at very cost advantageous prices that gives the consumer a competitive advantage to pre-purchase. Zachys does not offer any Pre-Arrivals that we do not have confirmed by our suppliers. By purchasing a Pre-Arrival one is guaranteeing that they reserved part of our allocation of that wine and they will be among the lucky few that has access to the item upon release.
In the 35 years Zachys has been offering Pre-Arrivals, Zachys has delivered on nearly every single case, nearly every single size, exactly as ordered. We are batting as close to 1000 as possible. In the past few years when Pre-Arrivals were being sold, there were many instances with other stores where they could not deliver the goods. ZACHYS DELIVERS. Wine Spectator says, "We recommend that you only buy wine futures from reputable wine shops that have been in business for many years and have handled futures sales before... also, beware of a merchant whose futures prices are significantly lower than others. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is." All orders are subject to written confirmation. In addition, 100% payment is required at the time of ordering on all pre-arrival orders.
