The March eAuction is now open for bidding! Over 600 lots of stellar wines from around the world are available with standouts from all the major wine regions well represented. Some California highlights include bottlings fromScarecrow and Screaming Eagle (Lots 552 & 553) from the esteemed 2007 vintage. Bordeaux collectors will undoubtedly be interested in the vast selection of First Growths from the 1980s and 90s, including a magnum ofChateau Latour 1982 (Lot 560).

Italy has its own fair share of great wines in this sale with some more unusual bottles than we typically offer making an appearance. For those with more esoteric tastes, this auction provides countless lots of rarely seen wines such as Vin Santo Rosso Reserva Marchesi Antinori 1943 (Lot 73), Barolo Cappellano 1954 (Lot 75), and Barbaresco Contratto 1974 (Lot 78). Fritz Hatton, Zachys’ longtime Advisor and Principal Auctioneer, comments, “My recommendation is simple: buy the great older Piedmont and Tuscan wines whenever you can. They will usually be in ones or twos and in mixed lots...take some risks on the smaller producers in the great vintages.” There are ample opportunities in this auction to follow this advice and bolster your collection with some hard-to-come-by wines from Tuscany, Piedmont, or any of the other great wine producing regions on offer.
